      @sarah_federman @Shavzer Maybe it’s just a way to hand wave away the lack of depth in the characterisation, and relying a little more on the telling not showing. It’s not like, super literary fantasy fiction. Maybe pulp fantasy is a little more accurate than YA

    @sarah_federman @Shavzer It’s a good question because I’m not even sure I know what makes something YA. I guess for fantasy books this was pretty light on violence, half the time they’re just shooting coins at each other
